Marvel Studios’ Thunderbolts Finds The Universe’s Antiheroes Assembled

Marvel Studios dropped the first official teaser trailer for Thunderbolts this morning. Black Widow’s adopted sister Yelena (Florence Pugh) is back, along with her dad Alexei Shostakov/the Red Guardian (David Harbour), Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan), and the disgraced John Walker/aka US Agent (Wyatt Russell). There are plenty of other half-forgettable characters like Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen) from Ant-Man and the Wasp, Taskmaster (Olga Kurylenko), and a guy named Bob (Lewis Pullman) who is played by the same actor from Top Gun: Maverick whose character’s callsign was also named “Bob”.

They are conveniently assembled by CIA Director Valentina Allegra De Fontaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfuss).  This film seems to be the antithesis of The Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy. There’s no real synopsis of the film yet, but it looks like it will be a fun time. It does feel like whatever happens in Captain America: Brave New World may lead into this movie.
