It hasn’t been that long since I wrote about the first Star Wars streaming series coming to Disney+, but now we’ve got some more news! Pedro Pascal, who has starred in Game of ThronesNarcos and is currently filming a role in Wonder Woman 1984, is starring in a rebel without a cause-esque tale, The Mandalorian.

According to Variety, Jon Favreau has written the series, which focuses on a “lone gunfighter” who travels “in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic” after the fall of the Empire gives way to the rise of the First Order.

Pascal, is of course, a huge boon for Star Wars fans who have been hoping for more diversity in the space opera. Lately, Star Wars has been doing some good moves, even though they still have underrepresented black women in the franchise overall. Hopefully that will change at some point.

But positive moves are still positive, and having Pascal join Diego Luna on Disney+ is fantastic. Even more fantastic is that a stellar cast of directors of color will take part in the show. Even though Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels‘ Dave Filoni will direct the first episode, the rest of the series will be left to Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi, Bryce Dallas Howard, Rick Famuyiwa and Jessica Jones director Deborah Chow.

Again, as I wrote in my first Disney+ article, the problem for me is coming to terms with the fact that I’m going to have to shell out more money to watch TV. My income, like everyone’s, is limited, yet these doggone companies are putting up paywalls to watch genre television! It’s too much, I tell you! Too much! I shouldn’t have to be rich to watch television! But I digress. I’m sure I, like a lot of us, will scrounge up the money it takes to get Disney+ at least for a month.
