Join me in a workshop all about using the basics of media literacy to navigate these uncertain cultural and social times.
The media we consume every day—TV shows, movies, news, and social media—shapes the way we see ourselves, each other, and the world. But what happens when those messages reinforce harmful stereotypes or limit our understanding of our own identities and communities?
In this workshop, we’ll break down how media influences our perceptions of race, culture, sexuality, and mental health—often in ways we don’t even realize. You’ll learn how to recognize bias, resist internalized narratives, and use media literacy as a tool for awareness and change.
