The new clips from the upcoming episode, “Awakening,” have been released, and while all of them are interesting, one of them is particularly of note:

We’ve seen #BlackLivesMatter and now #MuslimLivesMatter, but there’s yet another hashtag bringing awareness to marginalized people who are constantly subjected to unwarranted violence, Native Americans. The hashtag #NativeLivesMatter brings to light the sheer volume of Native deaths at the hands of police that occurred last year and years prior.

Two phrases stuck out to me while watching Fresh Off the Boat episode, “The Shunning”: “Real life isn’t a rap video, Eddie.”-Emery “I couldn’t just search ‘Asian Kids who like hip hop’!”-Eddie Not to mention the vast amount of hip hop that makes up the show.
