Coming up after Captain America: Brave New World at Brazil’s D23 Event yesterday, Marvel Studios released a new trailer for Thunderbolts*. Akin to DC’s Suicide Squad and James Gunn’s 2021 sequel, The Suicide Squad, this film is looking to be a fun pallet cleanser after whatever happens in the 4th Cap movie. Maybe President Thunderbolt Ross (Harrison Ford) will appear and probably entertain Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh), Bucky (Sebastian Stan), and company with the idea of using his last name for their team’s moniker. The villainous CIA Director Valentina Allegra De Fontaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever purchased Avengers Tower when we last saw it in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Boy…the bad and morally questionable characters of the MCU and a Red Hulk for President of the United States are taking the spotlight. Talos (Ben Mendelsohn) from Secret Invasion got it right: Where are the Avengers when we need them? Here is the official synopsis and trailer:
