When it comes to films, there are only a few that I hold on their own pedestal. Jurassic Park is one of those films. Having watched the film tons of times and read the book, I can tell you that I’m a huge fan of this story outlining the hubris of mankind and how it can ultimately fail those who fall sway to its siren song.

it’s also for that reason that I’m not very cool on the other sequels. They are varying degrees of  just “all right.” Most of them, if not all of them, seemed to miss the point of the original, which is that mankind thinks it can control nature when we can’t.

However, it would seem that Jurassic World brings the franchise back to its precautionary tale roots. Why do I say this? Just watch the trailer below.
